Jakarta, mataberita.net — Indonesian singer Deifydee, known for her golden voice, is joining forces with international artists JJ Twins from Sri Lanka. The duo, consisting of Julian Prisons and Jason Prisons, is set to make waves in Indonesia through their collaboration on the upcoming album Higher, featuring the single The Reason is You. The single is currently in production and slated for release in the near future. In addition, Deifydee is also gearing up to shake up the Indonesian music scene with another single currently in the works, titled Bersama Kamu, which is also expected to drop soon.
Deifydee shared that songwriting has always been a passion of hers, including for her upcoming single Bersama Kamu. “Bersama Kamu is an original song I wrote myself. I actually penned it a year ago, but due to other commitments, the release was delayed,” she explained. “This song was inspired by real-life experiences—not only mine but also from stories I’ve heard from others. Bersama Kamu tells the story of someone who deeply loves their partner and wants to reassure them that they are the one and only person they want to spend the future with.”
Deifydee also expressed her gratitude. In addition to preparing for the release of her solo single, she is also collaborating with JJ Twins on The Reason is You. “I’m collaborating with JJ Twins for that one,” she said. “If I’m not mistaken, it was around December when Kak Caterine sent me a direct message on Instagram inviting me to collaborate. At first, I was a bit hesitant because, as we know, there are so many DMs on social media about collaborations. But with the trust and sincerity that Kak Caterine showed, here we are now, finally working together.”
“For The Reason is You, the English lyrics were written by Julian Prisons, while I wrote the Indonesian version,” Deifydee explained. “All the musical composition was done by JJ Twins.” She expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, which she sees as a blessing from God—one that has allowed her to grow and be recognized alongside international artists. “I feel incredibly thankful, happy, and honestly still can’t believe I’ve reached the international stage. Our plan is to release the song after the pre-release stage is completed. Right now, it’s still in production,” she added.

“Of course, our hope is to continue this collaboration for as long as possible,” Deifydee said. “Details on where JJ Twins will be touring across Indonesia will be shared soon, as everything is being carefully prepared for the Higher album tour.” She explained that the tour carries a message of emotional connection and hope, aiming to resonate with people from all walks of life. The campaign will feature a series of activities including live performances, meet and greets, media visits, and workshops in collaboration with local music communities.
“The energy from Indonesian fans is truly incredible. We want to build an emotional connection through music,” said Julian of JJ Twins. “The production process for The Reason is You came with its own set of challenges, especially since we were working from different countries of us are in Sri Lanka and Deifydee in Indonesia. But she has an amazing voice and remarkable talent, which made it all worthwhile.”
According to Jason, the decision to choose Deifydee as their duet partner was far from random. Her voice, he said, carries a soulful quality that brings out the emotional depth of The Reason is You, a song that speaks about the power of love and emotional support. “We wanted to bring an authentic vibe that feels local yet remains universal,” he explained. “This collaboration serves as a bridge between two musical cultures.”
Caterine, the Public Relations and Talent Hunter at JJ Twins’ management, also shared her perspective. She noted that Indonesia is home to many talented singers with distinctive, golden voices. Among them, JJ Twins and their management were particularly captivated by Deifydee’s voice. “That’s why we were so excited to collaborate with her. It all started with a search for local Indonesian talent through social media. When we came across Deifydee, we saw not only her vocal strength but also the positive values she embodies. That’s what made us truly interested,” Caterine said during an interview on Monday (June 30, 2025) at Izara Café, Jakarta.
